How To Evaluate the
Community Effectiveness Test

I called this the Community Effectiveness Test because it gives a very easy measure of how well you think this particular community cell is satisfying the basic human needs of ever single individual.

I am not going to tell you what this test means. You have the wisdom inside of yourself to analyze the results of this test. Remember this is only how you see this group at this point in time. Others may score this test quite differently. Here are some ways you can proceed:

  • After taking the test, sit and contemplate what you have before you. Are you surprised? Does it suggest some area that needs attention? Is there a way you can lend your energy and good heart to bring about improvement? Write down what comes to you and any ideas that spring up about how to strengthen this community circle.

  • If you have enough mutual trust you could suggest every member of the circle take the test and then sit together and talk about what the results suggest about how to improve the satisfaction of every member.

  • If you are stuck, go talk with a friend in that particular circle and see what they think. If you do not feel safe talking with someone in that circle find a trusted person outside who does not have any opinion or vested interest in the particular group and discuss your concern with them.
  • If the test shows real trouble-at least in your opinion-you could go talk with a professional about what to do.

  • Remember this community circle may be an important dimension in your life. Treat what you think about it and how you act with great respect and kindness.
